I was fortunate enough to meet Slava as a friend more than 20 years ago.
It was a loose, yet deep friendship that has lasted through the years. The kind of friendship where you pick up the phone after a long time and it seems like no time has passed. Slava’s kind words guided me through my life. Even now I can hear his words that never came in the form of advice or even knowing better, but rather as an anecdote or gently-funny story.
Slava’s humbleness, modesty and calming attitude were unprecedented. He will live on in my memory – and that of many others. It’s for sure – his good deeds, his inspiration, and confidence in the better will live on in many lives. Slava – you will be missed.
Also, I would like to express my deepest condolences to Slava’s family.
